Flexible Tech Support
Flexible Tech Support
Project details
What we need
- Ongoing technological advisory for 10-15 hours over the course of 4 weeks
- Support may include: tools set up and implementation, systems auditing, process updates
- Note: We devised this project to connect nonprofits and volunteers for more flexible, more immediate impact. We strongly suggest you start with 4 weeks and decide from there if you'd like to continue working.
Additional details
Teach by Tech uses CodeIgnitor and the Youtube API to create videos with embedded quizzes. These videos are used to supplement our traditional learning modules. We are looking for someone who is familiar with PHP and javascript to complete changes to our system to increase ease of use.
What we have in place
- We currently have the framework of design, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have outline of desired changes, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,355 , allowing us to hire a P/T assistant teacher from the refugee community and begin training him/her for advancement.
Our organization is growing and expanding. We are increasing the number of courses offered and need to make the videos and quizzes easier to track, update and set-up for each classroom. This is an invaluable not only to collect data, but also to offer our ELL students opportunities to continue learning outside the classroom.
Project plan
Our mission
Teach by Tech aims to empower vulnerable populations, especially women and girls, by using innovative technology to increase the accessibility of entrepreneurial skills, workforce training, digital literacy and financial literacy proficiency. We equip individuals with the resources they need to attain economic empowerment and realize self-sufficiency.
